About Liv
Liv Cappello (she/her) is an artist who works out of her home studio in Cambridge, MA. She's a graduate of Middlebury College in Vermont where she studied psychology and global health.
She has always loved creating things – from fingerpaintings when she was was little to poetry in high school to digital art in college – and is grateful to have found a passion in enameling, metalwork, and printmaking in the past few years. With some encouragement from friends, she started selling her work and is continually grateful that people like her art enough to take it home with them.
What is linocut printing?
Linocut is a type of relief, or block, print made by carving negative space into rubber, linoleum, or wood using sharp tools. Whatever is left on the block is rolled with ink and printed under a flat hand press or burnished with a spoon or another tool.
