about
Liv Cappello (she/her) is an artist who works out of her home studio in Cambridge, MA. She's a graduate of Middlebury College in Vermont where she studied psychology and global health.
She has always loved creating things – from fingerpaintings when she was was little to poetry in high school to digital art in college – and is grateful to have found a passion in enameling, metalwork, and printmaking in the past few years. With some encouragement from friends, she started selling her work and is continually grateful that people like her art enough to take it home with them.
about the shop
Making jewelry originally started as a way to keep Liv's hands and mind busy during pandemic, but as it’s grown she's loved the (sometimes overwhelming) process of turning her art into a small business. In her last semester of college, jewelry production became a little difficult (mostly because it's frowned upon to use large blow torches in small apartments), so she has turned to printmaking via linoleum block cutting and screen printing. She draws inspiration from the places she's called home – Vermont, Wyoming, Massachusetts, Oregon, and New Zealand – and the hundreds of bold, beautiful color possibilities of ink and enamel powder.
You can find her jewelry in stores at:
- The Stone Mill in Middlebury, Vermont
- Wild Iris in Lander, Wyoming
- Lotus Moon Boutique in Bend, Oregon
- The Silk Road in Bronxville, New York
For now, prints are available online or at occasional weekend markets in Cambridge, MA (see instagram for details - @longtrailstudio).
